Setting up an L2TP VPN on Mac OS

First, go to System Preferences and Network.

Click the plus to add an interface. Select VPN as the interface and L2TP over IPSec as the VPN type.

Fill in the server address and account name. Then click Authentication Settings.

Enter the Account Password. This is your password. Enter the Shared Secret. This is a password shared by all VPN users.

Click OK on the Authentication window. Then click the Advanced button. Check the box to Send all traffic over VPN connection.

Finally, click Apply.

Once completed, click Connect and verify it works.
